Michael Latzko: 2015-2017

From 2015 to 2017, Dr. Michael Latzko was honored to be a member of the University of Florida College of Medicine faculty. Dr. Latzko enjoyed serving as part of the Advanced GI/Minimally Invasive Surgical Fellowship faculty, as part of the Surgical Skills Lab faculty and as a member of the Surgical Resident Score Lectures faculty. Dr. Latzko served on the Medical Student Clinical Lectures faculty from 2016 to 2017.

Michael Latzko: Academic Awards and Distinctions


Dr. Michael Latzko was the recipient of multiple awards and honors throughout his academic career. As a medical student at the St. George’s University School of Medicine, Michael Latzko earned induction into the Iota Epsilon Alpha Honors Society (2006). As a resident at the Monmouth Medical Center, Latzko was honored with an Outstanding Laparoendoscopic Resident Award from the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons (2011).

UF Health Surgeon Dr. Michael Latzko is a board-certified surgeon and minimally invasive surgery specialist in Sebring, Florida. UF Health Surgeon Dr. Michael Latzko has earned various professional certifications during his career, including those in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (2009); Advanced Trauma Life Support (2010); Fundamentals in Laparoscopic Surgery (2013); Fundamentals in Endoscopic Surgery (2015; and DaVinci Robotic Surgery (2015). He has also completed certifications in USMLE Step 1 (2007), USMLE Step 2 CS (2008) and USMLE Step 3 CK (2008).
