UF Health Surgeon Michael Latzko: Recreation and Outside Interests

UF Health Surgeon Michael Latzko is a seasoned minimally-invasive surgeon in the community of Sebring, Florida. When he isn’t working to treat conditions utilizing the precision of laparoscopic surgery, Dr. Latzko can often be found volunteering at local nonprofits; enjoying the open water on a surfboard, kiteboard or wakeboard; riding dirt bikes, preparing a meal at home or playing the guitar.

UF Health Surgeon Michael Latzko: Certified Practitioner

UF Health Surgeon Michael Latzko holds a number of medical certifications. He received his Fundamentals in Laparoscopic Surgery (FLS) certification in 2013, and both his American Board of Surgery certification and Florida Medical License, respectively, in 2014. He then earned his Fundamentals in Endoscopic Surgery (FES) certification and his DaVinci Robotic Surgery certification in 2015. Currently, he practices minimally-invasive surgery at Surgical Specialists in Sebring, Florida.

UF Health Surgeon Michael Latzko: Fellowship-Trained General Surgeon

UF Health Surgeon Michael Latzko completed his residency at Monmouth Medical Center. This took place between 2009 and 2014. He went on to complete his fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery at the University of Florida College of Medicine. This fellowship was completed between 2014 and 2015. Following his fellowship, Dr. Latzko was an Assistant Professor of Surgery at UF College of Medicine.

UF Health Surgeon Michael Latzko: Academic Activities Between 2015 and 2017

UF Health Surgeon Michael Latzko served as a member of the Advanced GI/Minimally Invasive Surgical Fellowship Faculty between 2015 and 2017. He also worked as a member of UF’s Surgical Skills Lab – and as part of the Surgical Resident Score Lectures Faculty – during that same period. Between 2016 and 2017, Dr. Latzko was a member of UF’s Medical Student Clinical Lectures Faculty.
